Religion
This week we will learn some new prayers together, listen to some stories, and practice our prayers we already know. We will learn two new prayers together and continue to practice the Angel of God prayer, the Our Father, and the Sign of the Cross. |
Literacy/Language
This week we will learn all about SPACE! We will discuss the various things you can see in space, the planets, and the life of an astronaut. We will be continuing our literacy/language by listening to many read alouds and completing activities to practice our letter sounds and reading. Please practice these at home! This weeks sight words are WHERE, MY, and TWO. Please continue to practice all of the sight words at home with flashcards, games, etc. |
Math
In math this week, we will continue our math series "My Math". We will be working more in depth with each of the numbers that we have learned so far this year. This will include many counting exercises, number formation practice, and one-to-one correspondence. This week we will be working on counting sets to identify which has more, and beginning our journey with ADDITION! We are continuing on our way with counting and have now been practicing to count to 100! WOW! We will continue to review and practice math concepts we have learned. |
Science/Concept
Our concept this week is all about SPACE! We will watch videos, listen to astronauts read us stories from a real spaceship, and learn all about the planets. We will use our Let's Find Out Scholastic magazines to help us, along with various read alouds that we will discuss as a class! |
Centers
Our centers this week will consist of puzzles STEM building materials, houses/people, Legos, painting, and play doh. We will be making turkeys that show what we are thankful for! Be sure to check them out when you have a chance! |
REMEMBER:
Homework is sent home on Monday of each week and is to be completed and turned in by the NEXT Friday at the latest! USE PENCIL to complete the homework, as this is what we use in class for tracing activities. Practice, practice, practice is the best way to learn! Please make sure you are checking your child's folder EACH NIGHT for important information from myself or the office! |
As always, I am available by email and REMIND app for any questions/concerns
